How to repair the player
Attention: Don’t use this operation u
nless the MP3 player doesn’t
work correctly
(e.g the player can’t be powered on.) or we issue a new software
version of the
player.

Download xtatix_firmware.zip
- Open the zip file by double-clicking on it.
- Double click the “Setup.exe” file to start
- Run the software
- Click “Next” -> ”Yes” -> ”Next”->
”Next” -> ”Finish” button
in every
prompt window to finish the installation.
- After finished the installation, the computer
will prompt you to reboot it.
Then reboot the computer.
- If you want to delete the player upgrade software,
you can click start ->
program files -> Sigmatel MSCN Audio PlayeràUninstall to uninstall
the
software.
Note: Don’t connect the MP3 player with the computer before and
during
installing the software.
Remark: The first time running SETUP program is
for installation. The
second time running is for uninstall.
- Upgrade/Recover the software of the player.
- Connect the player with the computer while
pressing and hold the PLAY
button, and continue pressing for over 5 seconds.
- Right click My computer -> Property -> Device Manager, wait
till the player
Recovery Device Class appears in the device manager.
- Click Start -> Programs Files -> Sigmatel MSCN Audio Player
-> Firmware
Update. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click “Start” button to start firmware upgrading.
Make sure you stop your player properly, using
the Eject or Safely remove USB
Mass storage Device option, before disconnecting
it from your computer. Failure to
disconnect the player properly can result in corrupted
files or music tracks.
